Ultima: Runes of Virtue

Through the mystic moongate you have been teleported to the land of Britannia, where a world of magic and adventure awaits you. Ruling over the lands he united, Lord British guides his people as they seek to master the eight virtues of the Avatar. It is your quest to recover the runes, symbols of these great virtues, stolen by the Black Knight.

(from the user manual)
Utlima: Runes of Virtue is a fun game on the Game Boy handheld console. You have four champions that you adventure with (one at a time) including the characters of Mariah the Mage (spell caster), Iolo the Bard (longbow expert), Dupre the Fighter (master swordsman), Shamino the Ranger (throwing magic axe). Each rune is in a dungeon. Travel to them all to get the eight runes of virtue and win the game!

This is a fun adventure indeed. Interesting you are not the Avatar in this game as you control one of the 4 champions.

The contents of the Ultima: Runes of Virtue includes a Instruction manual and a game cartridge.
The Instruction Manual - at least a map of Britannia is in here somewhere. I would of preferred a cloth map.
Here are some screen shots from the back of the box. The graphics are crude but what do you expect from a monochrome 8-bit handheld console?
